Texas authorizes remote online notarization under Government Code Subchapter C, Chapter 406 (§§ 406.101–406.111). Veritas Notary LLC performs those sessions as a Texas online notary. The platform isBlueNotary, which supplies the audio-video session, credential analysis, identity proofing, electronic seal, and recording Texas requires.
How a session works
- Book with us. We confirm the documents are eligible for online notarization.
- You join BlueNotary, complete identity proofing, and present a government-issued photo ID on camera (Gov't Code § 406.110).
- We meet by secure two-way video. You sign electronically during the session.
- You receive the completed, electronically sealed documents.
Texas rules we follow
- The notary must be physically in Texas; you may be in another state or country.
- Online-notarization fee is up to $25 in addition to the per-act fee (§ 406.111). No travel fee.
- The audio-video record is kept for five years (§ 406.108).
- The notarial certificate must state that the act was an online notarization (§ 406.110).

What cannot be done online
Wills, codicils, and testamentary trusts are excluded from the Texas Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (Business & Commerce Code § 322.003) and must be executed in person (Estates Code § 251.051). Some lenders, courts, and recording offices also refuse a remote notarization. Confirm with the office that will receive your documents before you book.
